Brian Fallon & the Crowes flying to KOKO

Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem is returning to London – but this time as a solo artist.

“I’ve been waiting a long time to do this tour and I’m excited the opportunity has come to play these songs live for everybody there,” the singer and guitarist wrote on his website.

His show at Koko on 8 April 2016 will mark his first in London since The Gaslight Anthem played Shepherd’s Bush Empire in August, their second last show before going on an indefinite hiatus.

“Lush pancakes? Is that what you’re saying?” Brian Fallon laughs.

The punter shouts something at the stage again.

“You want me to sing ‘happy birthday’, is that it?” the singer asks, all mock indignation. He breaks out into a huge grin. “I’m not yo’ puppet!”

Whether he’s teasing audience members, introducing the army of Skeletor figurines on the guitar amps, or making finger pistols at the sound man in the wings, The Gaslight Anthem frontman is clearly in a very good mood. Especially for someone who’s about to pack this all in – for now at least.

Against Me! & The Gaslight Anthem at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire

The Gaslight Anthem’s penultimate show before taking a “step away from the band until we decide what we’d like to do next” was a celebration of their greatest hits and fan favourites played to a sold-out O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Against Me! fired up the heaving crowd with a powerful set, while The Gaslight Anthem’s “most favourite person in the whole of England”, Frank Turner, showed up to duet on ‘Great Expectations’.
