I’m With Her, the band of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, are headed to London in support of their full-length debut, ‘See You Around’.
Although their 30 January show at Bush Hall is already sold out, the trio will be back on 17 May at Union Chapel.
“We all feel immensely fortunate to be in this band together,” say the group. “As longtime friends and fans of each other’s music, it’s been wonderful to realise that writing and collaborating together fits so seamlessly into our lives.
“And now, we’re so excited to get to tour and share the work we’ve done as a band with our debut album, ‘See You Around’.”
The LP, which is released on 16 February, was co-produced with Ethan Johns (who’s worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Ryan Adams, and Laura Marling) and recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath.
Its 12 tracks feature 11 originals – written by the group in Vermont and Los Angeles – and a previously unreleased Gillian Welch composition, featuring all the band members of guitar and assorted other instruments. Watkins provided fiddle and ukulele, Jarosz played mandolin and banjo, and O’Donovan contributed piano and synth.
Comprising members of Nickel Creek and Crooked Still and bonafide Grammy-winning solo artists who’ve collectively released 9 solo LPs, I’m With Her originally came together during an impromptu performance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2014.
