Erasure declare ‘World Be Gone’ at Roundhouse

Erasure are back – with their 17th studio album and three major headline Glasgow, Manchester, and London.

Andy Bell and Vince Clarke release ‘World Be Gone’ on 19 May 2017; 10 days later, they’re live at Roundhouse.

Tickets to the 29 May performance go on general sale on 3 March.

The reflective follow up to 2014’s ‘The Violet Flame’, written, performed, and produced by the duo, examines the current state of the world and its political turmoil, while also looking ahead to what the future may hold.

“Obviously the current political climate lends itself to lots of ideas,” admits Clarke.

“I think there’s an underswell of opinion, and people are slowly waking up,” adds Bell. “I’m hoping that people will take the album in a positive way, that they’ll use it as optimistic rabble-rousing music.”

With singles like ‘A Little Respect’, ‘Sometimes’, and ‘Chorus’, the duo have been rabble rousing since 1985, amassing five UK #1 albums, 17 Top 10 singles, and 35 UK Top 40 hits along the way.

Following their three ‘World Be Gone’ headline shows in May, Erasure are special guests on Robbie Williams’ Heavy Entertainment Show summer stadium tour, which includes a stop at London Stadium on 23 June.
