Broken Witt Rebels can’t slow down

Broken Witt Rebels, fresh off winning ‘Best Rock Act’ at the Unsigned Music Awards, are about to raise their profile even further with support slots on two upcoming tours swinging through London.

The band, who released their latest single ‘Georgia Pine’ last month, join King King at Islington Assembly Hall on 29 November and Joanne Shaw Taylor at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 27 January 2017.

Tickets are available now.

‘Georgia Pine’ – the title track and third single of their current EP, following ‘Low’ and ‘Guns’ – takes its name from the old stoner reference “as high as a Georgia Pine”, even though the song is about the band’s planned rise to the top.

“We want to be the best band in the world,” frontman Danny Core told us earlier this year. “There’s no point trying for second best.”

That ascendancy is conveyed in the video for ‘Georgia Pine’. Shot on smartphones and featuring fan-submitted visuals, it captures the wild ride of the past few months which has included performances at The Isle of Wight, Latitude, Y Not, Tramlines, and the Leeds Festival.

To celebrate the ongoing success – and meet fan demand – Broken Witt Rebels have issued 1000 copies of the ‘Georgia Pine’ EP on 10-inch vinyl, with all five tracks remastered for the release.
